Where Do Famous Celebrities Meditate?
Article by Zhang Xinuye of Create Abundance
Celebrities have extreme schedules and finding the time to meditate can be a challenge when on the road or touring different countries. Many have found the low-barrier quick 10-minute meditations very convenient as they travel on buses or if they are traveling by air, they will use the time on the flight to meditate. The benefits of meditation are important to focus, relieve stress, and get them in the mindset for their concerts.
Paul McCartney
In the 1960s the Beatles helped to make Transcendental Meditation popular, and Paul McCartney has been practicing meditation since those days. He and his fellow Beatles met with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the 60s and to this day Paul sits for 20 minutes each day meditating although he admits there are days that his schedule will not allow.
Madonna
100 million singles sold worldwide will keep you busy and Madonna has done just that. She is one of the most iconic singers in world history and lives a very busy lifestyle practicing zen in her life. She follows a mind-body-spirit way and chooses the ancient Ayurvedic diet and uses transcendental meditation for balance. It was over 20 years ago when Madonna said, “Meditation showed me how much energy silence has.”
Katy Perry
This singer has a very fast-paced and high-stress life and over the years has found that meditation has helped protect her mind and guided her through anxiety. She enjoys the stillness that she gets from meditation. She is quoted saying “this is different from napping. Napping is to brushing your teeth as flossing is to meditation. A lot of people brush their teeth but still have very interesting breaths. So you gotta get the plaque out”
