Highest Paying Actress in Hollywood
Major Hollywood studios usually don’t give away the big bucks to young actresses for their first appearance in a planned franchise. A new actress should consider herself lucky to get around $800,000, compared to $10 million. But that is not the case when the franchise continues to produce films. All of a sudden, the new actress is in demand and studios pay accordingly. This is why Kristen Stewart has made it to the top of Forbes’ annual list of the highest-paid actresses in Hollywood.
According to Yahoo!, the Twilight star who plays Bella Swan received an estimated $12.5 million for the last two Twilight films. She also got a share of the profits. While her co-stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner received the same amount, Stewart received more money than them this because of her role in Snow White and the Huntsman. According to the article, she earned $34.5 million between May 2011 and May 2012. Stewart is 22 years of age.
After Stewart, Cameron Diaz came in as the second highest paid actress in Hollywood, earning $34 million between May 2011 and May 2012. Her 2011 low-budget film Bad Teacher was considered a “quiet hit”, earning $216 million. Sandra Bullock came in at third place, followed by Angelina Jolie, and Charlize Theron.
